Albania at the UN General Assembly — Hoxha: Albania’s Unwavering Commitment to Reform and Progress

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha has shared on the social network X a video message from Prime Minister Edi Rama on Albania’s commitment to fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals.

In his message, Hoxha notes that the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly is underway, while the general debate begins next Tuesday.

“Faced with a panorama of geopolitical pessimism, uncertainty and unpredictability, Albania arrives prepared, with a strong sense of responsibility and an unwavering commitment to reform and progress,” writes Hoxha.

He also underlines the importance of fulfilling commitments, noting that “promises matter, but keeping them matters more and it is what makes the difference”.

In the published video message, Prime Minister Edi Rama speaks about Albania’s work toward fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals.

“For Albania, the Sustainable Development Goals are not a distant promise; they are a daily work plan and are inseparable from our journey toward the European Union,” Rama says.
