Weather Surprises: Tirana “Invaded” by Rain, While Vlora and Fushë-Kruja “Burn” with Fire

As forecast, this afternoon most of the country was hit by rainfall. Meanwhile, Vlora and Fushë-Kruja are reported to have been hit by fire, with flames said to be spreading, fanned by strong winds.

It is reported that the waste collection site in the village of Halilaj was engulfed by flames at midday today. Arson is suspected.

Meanwhile, firefighters from Kruja are said to have immediately arrived at the scene and are working to fully isolate the flames. Thick smoke is reported to have spread toward Kamza and Mamurras.

Also, a large-scale fire engulfed the cemetery of the village of Babicë at midday this Sunday. Due to strong winds, the flames are reported to have spread rapidly, also threatening a house located near the affected area. Firefighting forces intervened and managed to prevent the flames from spreading toward the house.
