Albania start with a goal, but Berisha’s red card turns everything upside down: Finland beat the red-and-blacks 2-1 in Helsinki
Albania suffered a 2-1 defeat in Helsinki against Finland, in the match valid for the Nations League.
The challenge started very well for the red-and-blacks, with Manaj scoring with a header in the 4th minute, after a perfect ball from Asllani.
However, things did not go well for Albania, as in the 22nd minute goalkeeper Etrit Berisha was punished with a red card after a harsh intervention, leaving Albania with one player fewer. Finland took advantage and equalised through Leo Walta from a free kick.
In the second half, Finland increased the pressure in search of the turnaround, while Albania threatened on the counter-attack, with Pilo coming close to a goal, but that was all.
Finland overturned the accounts and took the victory thanks to another goal by Walta. Albania are ranked in second place with 6 points, one fewer than leaders Finland.
