Albanian journalist from Brussels: The EC’s answer on Hyseni carried a message of support for SPAK

Invited to a live link on “Review” with Greta Topjana, journalist Julian Kasapi spoke from Brussels about the question he put to the European Commission regarding the case of the former SHISH director, Vlora Hyseni.

Kasapi said his question was not about the judicial process against Hyseni, but about the credibility and security of the information exchanged between Albania and the European Union. According to him, the European Commission’s answer also contained a clear message of support for SPAK.

“The question was addressed to the European Commission because of the very big developments in Albania, not to comment on the judicial process, since it is known that the EU does not comment on judicial cases. But the question was about the credibility of the information between Albania and the EU and whether this information that the EU sends to Albania is secure. Certainly there was an answer with a political agenda, however, between the lines, there was unconditional support for SPAK. I think this statement about the Special Prosecution is important, because it shows that the EU, despite the political situation in Albania or the investigations, has its attention on SPAK, as mentioned by the European Commission. I think this is to some extent also an answer addressed to Albania, all the more so when I asked that there be no comment on the judicial process, but more about the information. In the coming weeks the progress report is expected and we will see what will happen with the progress report. To some extent it was an answer that carried a kind of sub-message, that the greatest support is for the institutions of justice. Rama said this today too during his speech, when he said that the investigation and trial of Vlora Hyseni is in the hands of justice. Up to this point, he is with the European Union on this point,” said journalist Kasapi.
