Alibeaj: Agasi may have sold SHISH intelligence to Albania’s enemies

Politician Enkelejd Alibeaj has raised strong suspicions over the leak of sensitive SHISH intelligence through Ergys Agasi, declaring that it may have ended up in the hands of actors hostile to Albania.

Speaking on A2 CNN’s “Off the Record” show, Alibeaj said the information may initially have been used by criminal groups for their own interests, but he did not rule out the possibility that sensitive data — including NATO-related information — was also obtained through payments.

“Information has leaked endlessly. Ergys needed his own, where the rival groups are. But for money, the Ergyses are also interested in sensitive information, including NATO’s. Do we have the right to at least suspect it? Yes. Was it possible for him to get NATO information? Yes. Do we live in a country surrounded by unfriendly countries? Yes. There are Russian, Chinese, Iranian, Serbian interests, and so on. These are important hotspots,” Alibeaj said.
