ASK: Gjukanoviq should have reported the gift received from Knezeviq
The former president of Montenegro and then prime minister, Milo Gjukanoviq, violated the Law on the Prevention of Corruption, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK) has found.
According to the Agency’s decision, as Vijesti reports, in 2010 Gjukanoviq accepted a paid hotel stay and plane tickets to Dubai for himself and his wife, Lidija. The travel and stay expenses from March 25 to 30, 2010 were paid by Dushko Knezeviq on behalf of the Atlas Group.
ASK also found that Gjukanoviq neither refused the gift, nor submitted a written report to the body where he exercised his function, as the law required.
The initiative regarding this paid trip had been submitted seven years ago by the Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS).
