Illegal phone, alcohol and special foods: Diddy’s “privileges” in prison are revealed

Sean “Diddy” Combs is alleged to be spending thousands of dollars a month to secure a more comfortable life during his stay at the federal prison FCI Fort Dix, in New Jersey.

According to an NBC News report, sources close to the institution claim that the 56-year-old rapper has secured an illegal phone, alcohol and other services that are not usually part of prisoners’ lives.

One of the four people who spoke to NBC News described the situation as something unusual for a prison.

“This is not something normal that you see in prison. It’s something connected to the rich. It sounds crazy, but it’s Diddy,” the source said.

According to these accounts, some prisoners allegedly cook and clean for Combs, while others wash his clothes and give him massages.

The sources also claim that Combs uses an illegal phone to view Instagram and sexually explicit photographs that, according to them, a former partner sends him.

The report claims that Combs also consumes alcohol during the weekends, after securing expensive drinks.

“Yes, of course I have drunk with him,” said one of the sources, claiming to have consumed Hennessy cognac together with the rapper.

According to NBC News, Combs has also allegedly obtained from other prisoners the antidepressant drug Remeron.

One of the persons cited claims that a prisoner cleaned the toilet and shower before Combs used them. Others, according to the sources, prepared special foods for him, including chicken curry, pizza and empanadas.

The food, according to the claims, was prepared with an improvised heating device placed in water.

Two sources also claimed that Combs has a modified tablet, which he uses to watch films and documentaries, including the Netflix documentary series “Sean Combs: The Reckoning”.

Meanwhile, some prisoners allegedly also keep for him the letters he receives from fans, as well as his phone.

“There are so many of them that he has nowhere to keep them,” one source said.

A spokesperson for Combs has indirectly denied these claims, criticising the media attention on his life in prison.

“The constant pushing of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’ life in prison has reached the point where the media presents ordinary prison life as news,” the spokesperson told PEOPLE.

He added that the “only real news” is that Combs continues to serve his sentence according to the rules and awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.
