Bahrain joins the U.S. multinational attack drone unit “Task Force Falcon Strike”

Bahrain has joined the United States’ Task Force Falcon Strike, the multinational attack drone unit, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced.

“We are excited to welcome Bahrain to Task Force Falcon Strike, as the kingdom confirmed its commitment to join CENTCOM in building the world’s first multinational attack drone unit,” said Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of CENTCOM, in a statement posted on X, as Al Jazeera reports.

CENTCOM first announced this grouping on August 13, saying it would use one-way attack drones operated from the air, the ground and beneath the sea by U.S. military personnel and regional partners. It is built on Task Force Scorpion Strike, the U.S. military’s first dedicated one-way attack drone squadron in the Middle East, which was used in the strikes against Iranian port facilities in July.
