Balla: Corruption exists everywhere, even in Germany; SPAK must act justly

Socialist Party parliamentary group leader Taulant Balla commented on recent developments in justice, describing them as indicators of the progress of the justice reform.

Balla also addressed the phenomenon of corruption, arguing it exists in other European Union countries as well, while stressing that what matters is the functioning of institutions that investigate and bring cases to a close.

“The other issue relates to the progress of the justice reform. All these events that are happening are … they should be seen as positive culminations of the justice reform. Corruption exists. Corruption exists everywhere, it exists even in Germany, it exists even in Italy, and in other countries — I’m talking about founding countries of the European Union.

“What matters is that today we have justice institutions that investigate, that see investigations through to the end. And my appeal for all events and all cases is that SPAK and the judiciary act justly and uninfluenced by any political influence,” Balla declared.
