Balla meets EP rapporteur for Albania Andreas Schieder: Albania leads EU aspirant countries

The chairman of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, held a meeting with the European Parliament’s rapporteur for Albania, Andreas Schieder, whom he described as a dear friend and supporter of our country.

During the meeting, Balla and Schieder discussed the progress of Albania’s European integration process, as well as further steps toward full membership in the European Union. Balla emphasized that Albania continues to lead among aspirant countries in this round of EU enlargement, noting that the country’s visible progress on the European path is yielding concrete results.

“Albania is at the forefront of aspirant countries for membership in this round of enlargement, and its visible progress on the European path contributes to stability and security in our region and beyond,” Balla said.

The meeting comes at an important moment for Albania’s negotiation process with the European Union, as the country aims to accelerate reforms and advance further toward membership.
