Fire in Peqin gets out of control, flames approach homes (VIDEO)

The situation with the fire that broke out on Friday afternoon in Peqin is deteriorating. The flames that have engulfed the village of Galush are spreading rapidly and have now approached homes.

Despite the intervention of firefighters on the ground and support from the air, strong winds and difficult terrain are favouring the spread of the fire.

One home has been engulfed by flames in the village of Aspiraj, while firefighters continue their battle to stop the fire’s advance and protect other homes.
