The head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, is in New York with American General Wesley Clark, former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces in Europe and the leader of NATO’s 1999 air campaign in defense of Kosovo’s population.

In a social media post, Balla expressed his gratitude to Clark for the decisive role he played during NATO’s intervention against the regime of Slobodan Milošević, as well as for his positions in support of Kosovo’s liberation war.

“I shook this special man’s hand firmly with twofold gratitude. Wesley Clark was the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces in Europe and led NATO’s 1999 campaign in defense of Kosovo’s population and against the repression of the Milošević regime. Secondly, gratitude for his statements and testimonies in The Hague in support of the commanders and the purity of the KLA’s liberation war,” Balla said.
