Balla meets Hofreiter: Germany’s support key for Albania’s European path

Socialist Party parliamentary group leader Taulant Balla welcomed Anton Hofreiter, chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs, to the Parliament of Albania.

In a social media post, Balla said the meeting focused on Albania’s European path and Germany’s support for the country’s EU integration process.

“We welcomed today to the Parliament of Albania the Chairman of the Committee on European Union Affairs, Anton Hofreiter. Grateful to the Bundestag and the Federal Government for their continued support on Albania’s European path,” Balla wrote.

He also underlined the goal of wrapping up EU membership negotiations by 2027. “We move forward toward concluding the negotiations by 2027,” Balla said.
