Big triumph for Zvezda’s basketball players: Crvena Zvezda qualifies for the EuroLeague after a 71:66 win over DVTK in Miskolc

Crvena Zvezda’s basketball players achieved a big triumph on Tuesday evening (September 30), securing qualification for the group stage of the women’s EuroLeague. As MaxSport reports, the Belgrade team beat Hungary’s DVTK HUNTHERM 71:66 in Miskolc, in the final of the qualifying tournament.

The team led by Marina Maljkovic was excellent in the decisive moments. According to kosarka24.rs, the best on the court for Zvezda were Destani Henderson and Alija Kolijer with 18 points each, while Artemis Spanu contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Earlier, in the qualifying semifinal, Crvena Zvezda eliminated the Czech side Zabiny Brno with a 75:69 score, as Danas writes.

With this win, Zvezda will play in Group B of the EuroLeague, where it will face Turkey’s Galatasaray, Italy’s Beretta Famila Schio and Belgium’s Basket Mechelen. The first group-stage game is on October 14, when the Belgrade team will host Mechelen.
