Bills’ DJ Moore Out Against Lions With Shoulder Injury
Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore was ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions after a shoulder injury forced him to leave the field before the end of the first half. It was his second game with the Bills, and the injury occurred while the team led 21-7.
According to the NFL, the incident happened when Josh Allen threw toward the end zone on a second-and-three from the 6-yard line; Moore tried to catch a low pass, landed hard on his shoulder and rolled over, clutching the left side of his collarbone. He managed to walk off the field under his own power and was sent for X-rays. The pass was not recorded as a target due to an offensive holding penalty on the play, while earlier in the game he had a rushing attempt for a one-yard loss.
Moore was acquired in the offseason from the Chicago Bears and in Week 1 against the Houston Texans had five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. According to the NFL, his health status ahead of the Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers is seen as a concern for the team.
