Croatian playwright Miro Gavran’s comedy “Midday Coffee” staged at the Experimental Theatre
The play “Midday Coffee,” a work by the well-known Croatian playwright Miro Gavran, was staged last night at the National Experimental Theatre “Kujtim Spahivogli” in Tirana, bringing the audience a warm story full of humor and emotion about the relationship between a mother and her son.
Performed by Mladena Gavran and Vedran Komerički, the work told, through the dialogue of the two characters, the ups and downs of a family relationship over more than twenty years. Conversations over a coffee turned into a journey through time, touching on themes such as love, family, memory, the passing of years and relations between generations.
The interpretation of the two actors brought the story in a natural way close to the audience, creating moments of humor but also reflection on the special bond between parent and child.
This work came to Tirana as part of Croatian Culture Week.
