Democratic Party deputy reveals the letter he sent to former SHISH chief Vlora Hyseni

Democratic Party deputy Klevis Balliu, a guest on Thursday’s “Now” with Erla Mëhilli on Euronews Albania, revealed details of the reply he received from the former director of the state intelligence service, Vlora Hyseni, regarding a letter he had sent her earlier. He stressed that he had received a reply to his letter but, as the information is classified, could not give more details.

“I also asked her officially. No — I asked her officially too, in writing. I sent a letter to which she replied. I also asked her in the committee. I cannot disclose the reply because that reply too is secret, given the nature of the work the lady and the institution had.

“There was a reply. I can say this much; you may ask, there’s nothing secret about it, but since they have not declassified it, I cannot explain.

“And the committee case, where we discussed for a full hour. The only thing I can say is about what has no other nature. We had colleagues who laughed at the questions we had — that I had — about Vlora Hyseni’s relationship with Gys Agasi.

“They seemed like madness, and today in fact, even in Parliament, I declared that those on the committee should speak today — the members of the Socialist Party on the Internal Affairs Committee.

“They should have spoken today. We went there today because we demanded that Edi Rama come, that Parliament take responsibility, that parliament be dissolved, that we get ready for the next elections. Meanwhile, the prosecution should do its duty, take a look,” he said.
