“Drishyam 3” opens its first day with 63–66 crore rupees: the biggest opening record of Ajay Devgn’s career
“Drishyam 3: The Conclusion”, the final chapter of the Drishyam saga with Ajay Devgn in the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, together with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat and Rajat Kapoor, directed by Abhishek Pathak, was released in Indian cinemas on October 2, 2026. The film arrived in theatres precisely on the Gandhi Jayanti national holiday, a date that traditionally boosts ticket sales.
According to the first day-one estimates, as Bollywood Hungama announces, the film has collected 63–66 crore rupees net in India alone (1 crore equals 10 million rupees). This marks the biggest daily opening of an Ajay Devgn film ever and one of the biggest daily openings in Hindi cinema history.
The national multiplex chains PVRInox and Cinepolis recorded record occupancy throughout the day. Screenings started only from 9 in the morning, yet the halls filled up; with earlier screenings, the first-day figure could even have touched 70 crore rupees. The results significantly exceed the predictions of 45–55 crore made the day before the premiere.
Other sources, such as Sacnilk, also report record figures — about 56–67 crore net on the first day, with occupancy of 67 percent across India. The first reviews are mostly positive and the word circulating among the public is strong; advance ticket sales had already passed 50 crore rupees before the first day.
At this pace, the film’s first weekend could reach 180–200 crore rupees and “Drishyam 3” is on the right track to enter the club of films with over 500 crore rupees — an achievement that would make it the biggest blockbuster of Ajay Devgn’s career.
