“Marrow”: Michael Ironside and Danielle Harris in the true-story horror thriller — Scatena & Rosner takes world distribution rights
Scatena & Rosner Films has bought the world distribution rights to “Marrow”, the horror thriller by director Mitch McLeod (known for “Silhouette”), as ComingSoon reports in an exclusive story published on October 2, 2026.
The film is based on real police files about a stalking case in a small town in Texas. The protagonist Jamie Foster, a former successful vlogger (played by Jessica Dawn Willis, who is also co-screenwriter), tries to revive her career by inviting her stalker onto her show — in the hope of exposing him as the serial killer who has targeted several influencers. As the views rise, she realises more than her life is at risk when the stalker’s identity is called into question.
In the cast: Jessica Dawn Willis, Danielle Harris (the “Halloween” franchise), Michael Ironside (“Scanners”, “Total Recall”), as well as Matthew Tompkins, Ashley Spicer, Phil Harrison, Abby Joy, Rrian Rhonda, Kristin Payne and Vanessa Sun. The screenplay was written by McLeod, Willis and novelist Preston Fassel; the producers are Absentia Pictures (McLeod and Willis), Matthew Tompkins and Jon Keeyes.
Zach Stampone, vice-president of distribution at S&R Films, stated that the film “stood out because it explores our obsession with true crime and how far people are willing to go in the constant chase for views, attention and relevance” — according to him, the film takes something deeply rooted in the culture and takes the audience to a much darker and more disturbing place.
The official release date in cinemas and on digital platforms will be announced by S&R Films in the coming months.
