EU Ambassador Meets Minister Pirdeni: We Reaffirm Brussels’ Full Commitment to Supporting Albania

EU Ambassador to Albania Sofia Moreira de Souza met with the Minister for Public Administration Reform and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni.

The European Union reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Albania on its EU accession path, with a focus on the closing benchmarks of Cluster 1, the fight against corruption and public administration reform.

The news was announced via a post on the social network X, where she wrote that they discussed the key issues and opportunities toward the closing benchmarks of Cluster 1.

“In her role as Deputy Chief Negotiator, we discussed the key issues and opportunities toward the closing benchmarks of Cluster 1, and I had the opportunity to reaffirm the EU’s full commitment to supporting Albania.

Albania’s EU membership path is closely tied to the successful prevention and fight against corruption, as well as to an accountable public administration. Pleasure to meet the Minister of State for Public Administration Reform and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni,” she wrote on X.
