Filip Zindović arrested in the Netherlands on Podgorica Interpol warrant over cocaine smuggling
Filip Zindović, 37, formerly known by the surname Kljajević, a citizen of Montenegro, has been arrested by the police of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, acting on a request from NCB Interpol Podgorica, as Dan reports citing Montenegrin police.
He was wanted on an international Interpol red notice, after the High Court of Podgorica issued an order for his location and handover to the Special State Prosecutor, to be prosecuted as a suspect in the creation of a criminal organisation and two criminal offences of unauthorised production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs.
Zindović is suspected of having taken part, together with several other defendants, as a member of a criminal organisation operating on the territory of Montenegro and in several other states, in the international smuggling of cocaine.
Dutch police have informed the Montenegrin side that Zindović will be extradited to Montenegro after serving the prison sentence imposed on him in the Netherlands for a criminal offence committed in that state; he has been remanded in a penal institution in North Holland, in accordance with the sentence imposed in the criminal proceedings there.
