Millatoviq: Austria, Czechia and Slovakia clearly support Montenegro’s European path
The President of Montenegro, Jakov Millatoviq, said that Austria, Czechia and Slovakia, countries with great experience in the European integration process, clearly support Montenegro’s European future.
After the meeting with the foreign ministers of these three countries, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Petr Macinka and Juraj Blanar, Millatoviq said the discussions focused on the final stage of Montenegro’s path towards the EU and on the further strengthening of relations with European partners.
He stressed the importance of political dialogue, institutional cooperation and the exchange of experiences, especially at this stage of the negotiations.
Millatoviq said that EU enlargement must remain a process based on results, merit and credibility, while Montenegro, according to him, will fulfil its part through reforms and the strengthening of institutions, with the aim of becoming the 28th member of the European Union by 2028.
