Five open-air fires recorded during the day, one still active in Zelino

Five open-air fires were recorded across the country today, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) announced, as reported by TV21. According to official data updated until 18:00, of the five fire fronts one is still active, another has been brought under control, while three have been fully extinguished.

The fire that remains active, according to the CMC, is in the municipality of Zelino, near Karpalak, along the Skopje-Tetovo road, where the flames have engulfed waste and refuse.

The situation was tenser earlier in the day. According to Skopje1 and the Provereno portal, until 13:00 two fires were active: one in the municipality of Gazi Baba, on Mount Skopska Crna Gora above the village of Arachinovo, and another behind the industrial school in Prilep.

In the evening update, the CMC tally shows three fire fronts fully extinguished and another brought under control, leaving only the fire near Karpalak active. The Crisis Management Center continues to monitor the situation on the ground.
