Journalist Mejdini: Rama showed strength at the moment others thought him weakest

Appearing in a live link on “Review” with Greta Topjana, journalist Fatjona Mejdini commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama’s statement from Rinas following his return from the United States, saying that through it Rama chose to show that he is strong and has no intention of stepping back from his course.

“Rama was coming from the U.S., he had chosen the airport — it looked like a kind of emergency for that press conference, as if a major announcement was about to come from there. People were expecting something big, the resignation kind. There was plenty of normal speculation, since Prime Minister Rama faces a situation aggravated by protests that have lasted four months and, on the other hand, the successive scandals emerging from SPAK investigations. But Edi Rama did what others did not expect, or expected less. He showed that I am strong at the moment you think I am weakest. What he did there at the airport was a display of a kind of strength. He said there is no man born who can accuse him of corruption. He showed resilience and stressed that he would not move from his position, no matter what was coming. The prime minister has no intention of moving from this path. Albania will have its test in the 2027 local elections,” she said.
