Footage from the building where a 70-year-old was robbed and abused by a 43-year-old in Vlora

This is footage from the building in the village of Akërni in Vlora, where the serious incident took place. As seen in the video, inside the apartment a 70-year-old woman is suspected to have been assaulted, raped and robbed.

According to police, the incident occurred on September 26, when a 43-year-old man from the village of Akërni, identified by the initials F. Y., who lived in the same building as the elderly woman, allegedly knocked on her door and, after she opened it, struck her on the head with an axe.

The 70-year-old was left unconscious, while the 43-year-old is suspected of having searched the apartment and taken around 700,000 old lekë found there.

Police also suspect that, before leaving the apartment, the 43-year-old committed violent sexual intercourse with the 70-year-old.

After the incident was reported, police questioned the elderly woman and seized the axe suspected to have been used in the attack as evidence.

The 43-year-old F. Y. has been declared wanted, while investigations continue to fully document the case. According to police sources, he is also suspected of being a drug user.
