Major fire in Lezhë! Flames threaten homes in Manati and Barbullojë as strong winds hamper the response

A large fire has broken out in the area between Manati and Barbullojë in Lezhë.

The flames, which have engulfed a wide area covered in brambles and shrubs, are spreading rapidly across a broad perimeter.

Because of the scale of the blaze and the speed at which the fire is advancing, several homes located near the area are now under direct threat.

Firefighting crews arrived at the scene immediately and are working intensively to isolate the blaze and bring the situation under control.

However, the firefighting operation is facing major difficulties because of strong winds, which are acting as a catalyst, opening up new fire fronts and fuelling the further spread of the flames.
