For the ninth night, citizens protest against the Specialist Chambers’ verdict
Many citizens gathered again on Thursday evening at “Skenderbeu” Square in Prishtina, in the “Not in my name” protest being held against the verdict of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
The protest is being held for the ninth consecutive night, with citizens gathering in the center of the capital to express opposition to the first-instance verdict.
Protesters are demanding justice for the former KLA leaders, who on September 16 were found guilty of war crimes by the Specialist Chambers.
Banners and messages in support of the former KLA leaders have been placed in the square, while the slogan “Not in my name” continues to be the protest’s main motto.
