Four-Year Contract for Tim Washe with the Anaheim Ducks

Tim Washe has signed a four-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks; the deal takes effect for the 2027-28 season and financial terms were not disclosed. The 25-year-old, who could have become a restricted free agent after this year, spent last season as a rookie in the NHL with Anaheim.

As reported by NHL.com, Washe recorded five points (two goals, three assists) in 39 games as a rookie and added one assist in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games. He began the season with San Diego in the American Hockey League, where he posted 27 points (14 goals, 13 assists) in 36 games and was selected for the 2026 All-Star Classic before being called up to the first team. Anaheim had signed Washe as an undrafted free agent on April 14, 2025, and he also made two NHL appearances in the 2024-25 season.

Anaheim had an active summer of reinforcements: the team signed restricted free agent forward Cutter Gauthier to a six-year contract, signed Leo Carlsson to a five-year deal worth $90 million (an average of $18 million per season) on July 9 after matching an offer sheet filed by the Philadelphia Flyers on July 3, and agreed to a five-year contract with defenseman Pavel Mintyukov on July 5. The Ducks will open the regular season on October 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
