Gjeloshaj: Italy is one of Montenegro’s key European partners

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj met with Italy’s Ambassador to Montenegro, Laura Egoli, to discuss further strengthening economic relations between the two countries.

The meeting focused in particular on growing trade cooperation and investment, encouraging new investment and supporting existing investments.

Gjeloshaj said Italy is one of Montenegro’s key European partners and that the goal is to strengthen ties through concrete investments, stronger economic links and new opportunities for businesses.

He also stressed that Montenegro remains committed to its European path, while Italy’s experience and support are of particular importance in achieving this ambition.

Ambassador Egoli welcomed Montenegro’s progress in the European integration process and expressed Italy’s readiness to continue its support.

The meeting also discussed opportunities to intensify cooperation in energy, infrastructure, tourism, sustainable development and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
