Hague jails former KLA leaders, Prime Minister Rama reacts: “Shame!”
Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the decision of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague against the four former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, summing up the sentence in a single word: “Shame”.
Rama reacted on social media after the announcement of the verdicts against Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
“SHAME”, Rama wrote in his reaction.
The Specialist Chambers in The Hague found the four former KLA leaders guilty of a series of war crimes and handed down the respective sentences.
Hashim Thaçi was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The trial panel found him guilty of war crimes, including unlawful detention, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful killing. Kadri Veseli was sentenced to 18 years in prison. He was found guilty of war crimes, including unlawful or arbitrary detention, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful killing. Jakup Krasniqi was sentenced to 25 years in prison, after the trial panel found him guilty of war crimes. Rexhep Selimi was sentenced to 13 years in prison, after being found guilty of war crimes.
