Hany Mukhtar scores his 100th goal and leads Nashville SC to a 2-0 win over Toronto FC
Hany Mukhtar made history for Nashville SC, scoring twice in the first half and giving the team the 2-0 win over Toronto FC at GEODIS Park. One of those goals was his 100th in MLS, including 95 in the regular season and five in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.
As MLSSoccer.com reports, Mukhtar is the 16th player in league history to reach 100 goals and, apart from Columbus Crew striker Josef Martínez, is among the few active players with that figure; he is also the first German-born player to reach this record.
The 2026 season is going well for him: with this brace, Mukhtar has 13 goals and 7 assists in the league for 2026, and has recorded at least 20 goal contributions in five of the last six seasons. Seven of his goals this year have come after the break caused by the World Cup, while in all competitions he has a tally of 108 goals and 74 assists for the club.
In his seventh season in Music City, Mukhtar has helped Nashville SC reach six playoff appearances and win the US Open Cup in 2025. The team secured first place in the 2026 playoffs last week with the 3-0 win over Chicago Fire FC, became the second-fastest team in MLS history to reach 60 points in a season (in 27 matches) and, after the 28th round, holds an eight-point lead in the race for the Supporters’ Shield, moving closer to the chance of the first title in club history, as MLSSoccer.com notes.
