Haxhiu calls for breast cancer awareness: “Timely checkups can make the difference”

Acting President Albulena Haxhiu joined the “Race for the Cure Kosova” activity today, aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early checkups.

Haxhiu said the message of this race must reach even women who have postponed their health checkups, fear the result or face difficulties in getting the care they need.

“When we talk about breast cancer, time takes on a different weight, and we have a responsibility to ensure women don’t lose it by waiting or by facing obstacles we can and must ease for them,” Haxhiu wrote.

She called on women to get their checkups on time, asking that this message be passed on to daughters, mothers, sisters, friends and colleagues.

“Because in this race, it doesn’t matter who arrives first. What matters is that no woman arrives late,” Haxhiu said, as Telegrafi reports.
