“In Pieces” to make its world premiere in London: Joey Contreras’s musical comes to The Other Palace in February 2027
Composer Joey Contreras’s musical “In Pieces” will make its world premiere in London in 2027, as BroadwayWorld reports. The first full production of the show will take to the stage of The Other Palace, while tickets for the first week of performances, from 6 to 14 February, are already on sale.
The premiere marks the musical’s first real step on stage after an unusual development path: sold-out concerts, live digital recordings and albums. Martha Geelan returns as director, while the creative team is completed by choreographer Sam Wilson Freeman, musical supervisor Brian Russell Carey and casting director Harry Blumenau. The production is brought by Andrew Patino and Jacob Stuckelman of the company Regular People together with Rebecca Gwyther of RJG Productions; the cast will be announced at a later date.
“This is a big day for ‘In Pieces’,” Contreras said, stressing that the show has gone “from strength to strength” thanks to the work of the creative team and the support of the fans who followed its creation step by step.
“In Pieces” is a contemporary musical with a pop score, which delves into the echoes of love, loss and self-discovery through the romantic journeys of six characters in three chapters of life. After sold-out concerts at The Other Palace and at Joe’s Pub in New York, the live digital concert was bought 20 thousand times in 151 countries, with over 100 thousand views, while the compilation album released with Broadway Records has passed 70 million streams.
