Israel and Morocco Agree to Open Embassies, Deepen Diplomatic Ties
Israel and Morocco have agreed to open embassies in both countries and deepen diplomatic ties, in a deal reached in New York.

The two countries also agreed to expand flight operations between them and finalize an investment protection agreement. Morocco had agreed to normalize ties with Israel back in December 2020, as part of the U.S.-brokered Abraham Accords.
The deepening of ties comes at a moment when the U.S.–Iran war and the escalation of fighting in Yemen and Lebanon are rewriting the map of alliances in the region, with Washington seeking to strengthen its axis of partners.
