Israeli Forces Advance in Southwestern Syria and Toward Southern Lebanon — Syrian State TV Reports Nine Military Vehicles in Wadi Raqqad

Israeli forces are advancing with nine military vehicles in the Wadi Raqqad area in southwestern Syria, Syrian state television reported on Friday, according to an Al Jazeera update.

The advance comes after regular Israeli raids in Syria since the start of the U.S.–Israeli war against Iran in February, which have expanded the theater of conflict beyond Gaza and Lebanon.

In parallel, local reports from southern Lebanon indicate that Israeli military vehicles are advancing from the al-Tayri municipality toward the outskirts of the city of Hadatha, in an area where tensions have risen after repeated Israeli attacks in recent weeks.

The developments point to a further expansion of Israeli ground operations on two fronts simultaneously — at a time when the U.S.–Iran war has entered its seventh month and diplomatic efforts at de-escalation remain blocked.
