Italy-Turkey, Mancini: I believe in this group, quality is not lacking

Roberto Mancini’s Italy do not want to give up. After the draw against France in Paris, the Azzurri’s aim is another win against Turkey tomorrow evening in Bologna. The coach confirmed his positive feelings in an interview given on the eve of the match: “The most important thing in a group is to believe in yourselves and to believe that you can achieve any result”.

Even without Moise Kean, who left the training camp because of recent health problems, Mancini has faith in his squad, including the veterans and the young players: “The players have the technical qualities and, once they are more aware of their value, they can achieve a lot. The line-up? We will make some changes tomorrow”.

Mancini then stressed the strength of their opponent: “Montella has done an excellent job bringing the Turkish national team back to the World Cup and to League A of the Nations League. Right now, they are suffering a little more, partly because they are missing some key players. It will not be such a predictable match. Turkey is an excellent team. We played well in the first match and tomorrow it will depend on us. We must not underestimate Turkey just because it lost to Belgium. The mistake we must not make is to think it is an easy match”.
