Kosovo draw 1-1 with Austria at “Fadil Vokrri”, Asllani scores but Lang equalises

Kosovo drew 1-1 with Austria in the fourth-round match of League B of the Nations League, played tonight at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina, according to newsport.al reporting. The first half ended goalless, although Kosovo had a goal disallowed in the 51st minute, when Veldin Hoxha scored from an offside position.

The match was unlocked in the 70th minute, when Edon Zhegrova combined beautifully with Fisnik Asllani and the latter sent the ball easily into the net for the Dardanians’ 1-0 lead, igniting the celebration in the stands of “Fadil Vokrri”.

Kosovo’s celebration froze ten minutes later, when Christoph Lang scored the equalising goal for 1-1. The result did not change until the end, although Kosovo had every opportunity to win.

With this result, Austria keep the lead of Group B3 with 8 points, three more than Kosovo. The Dardanians now await the next matches to attempt second place in the group.
