Netherlands, coach Xavi raises his voice: Four matches in 10 days are too many

The Netherlands coach, Xavi, speaking at a press conference, expressed his doubts regarding the management of international matches. “This calendar is not good, four matches in ten days are too many”.

“It is not good for the national teams and the clubs, which sometimes face numerous player injuries. Scheduling such a congested timetable three months after the World Cup brings trouble.

“There are training sessions, travel, match recoveries and such things. I would prefer us to play two matches, it would be better for everyone”.
