Jonas Johansson moves from Tampa Bay Lightning to Ottawa Senators

Goaltender Jonas Johansson has been traded to the Ottawa Senators by the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for future considerations, the clubs announced Friday.

As the NHL reports, Johansson, 31, went 11-10-2 with Tampa Bay last season, posting a 3.29 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage in 25 games (23 starts). Across his NHL career he is 43-36-14 with a 3.29 GAA, an .889 save percentage and four shutouts in 105 appearances with the Lightning, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres.

Goaltender Leevi Merilainen was also claimed off waivers from the Senators by the Vancouver Canucks on Friday. According to the NHL, the moves were confirmed Friday.
