Kepi: Kurti was invited to the gala evening Rama attended, but did not come

Marko Kepi, president of the “Albanian Roots in America” association, said in a live link from the US for Euronews Albania’s Review show with Greta Topjana that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti had also been invited to the gala evening in New York attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, but he did not attend.

Kepi said that instead of Kurti, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca attended, and he also gave a speech. Meanwhile, according to him, former president Vjosa Osmani was also invited.

“Mr. Kurti was invited to the evening and did not attend, but Mr. Konjufca attended the event and gave the speech on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo.

As far as I have seen, Mr. Kurti himself is in New York on this visit, which is very important for all Albanians — Mr. Rama, Mr. Kurti, the entire Albanian political factor should be together, one group with one plan for national issues, but the opposite is happening.

For example, if you look at Kurti’s posts, it’s as if he went on a picnic — only to universities where there are Albanian student clubs that are completely irrelevant. He has not met a single important American diplomat, and the only diplomats or politicians of name or weight he has met are those he could meet from Kosovo. He met representatives of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia.
