Knežević from Belgrade: Srdanović is a DPS candidate — “without Vučić we would never have defeated Đukanović”

Milan Knežević, leader of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) of Montenegro, took part in the tribune of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the Stari Grad municipality of Belgrade, organized as part of the pre-election campaign in Serbia, Portal Analitika reports. In his speech, Knežević harshly attacked the “Students Win” list and its bearer, as well as former prime minister Zdravko Krivokapić and current prime minister Milojko Spajić.

Knežević declared that the bearer of the “Students Win” list, Ilija Srdanović, is a “DPS candidate” and publicly asked whether he is a personal friend of Milo Đukanović. According to him, the student list is nothing other than an instrument of the Democratic Party of Socialists.

“Milo Đukanović cannot forgive Aleksandar Vučić for August 30, 2020,” Knežević said from the SNS tribune. He added that “had it not been for Aleksandar Vučić, the litije [processions], the Serbian Orthodox Church and the citizens who voted, we would never have defeated Milo Đukanović,” attributing to the Serbian president the main merit for the opposition’s historic victory in the August 30, 2020 elections.

Knežević also spoke about former prime minister Zdravko Krivokapić and current prime minister Milojko Spajić, of whom he said they also support the student list. Both, according to him, are against Vučić “because he created them,” and with this stance they serve the agenda of the DPS and Milo Đukanović.

From Belgrade, the DNP leader reiterated once again his stance that war criminal Ratko Mladić is a hero, saying he will not withdraw from this conviction despite criticism.

In the end, he declared that every honest Serb from Montenegro and every honest Montenegrin from Montenegro with voting rights in Serbia will vote for “United Serbia” and the list led by Aleksandar Vučić, calling on the diaspora to mobilize in the elections.
