Kosovo’s freedom is not on trial: protesters begin gathering in Skanderbeg Square in Skopje

Protesters began gathering today in Skanderbeg Square in Skopje against the Hague Special Court’s convicting verdict on former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders, reports Klan Kosova. Citizens are carrying red-and-black flags and KLA flags, with the protest announced to start at 14:00, according to the Klan Kosova report.

The Skopje rally is part of similar protests in various places in support of the KLA’s “four.” “Kosovo’s freedom is not on trial” is the slogan with which protesters appeal to justice in support of the former KLA leaders.

Recall that the protest had been announced on September 24, while today’s gathering is taking place in Skopje’s Skanderbeg Square.
