Kurti meets with Hamza, a day before the Assembly session
The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, was seen leaving the Kosovo Government building after a meeting with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The meeting took place on Sunday, a day before the Kosovo Assembly session, while so far there are no official details regarding the topics discussed.
According to TV Dukagjini reports, Kurti during the day also held a meeting with the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku.
The prime minister’s meetings with opposition leaders come a day before the Assembly session, where the swearing-in of new deputies and the election of the Assembly vice-president from the PDK ranks are expected.
Meanwhile, PDK has also proceeded in the Assembly with the request to amend the Law on the Kosovo Specialist Chambers. It is still unknown whether this issue will be included in tomorrow’s session agenda.
The Assembly session takes place after the Constitutional Court’s decision, which found that the Assembly was constituted late, while assessing that the Kosovo Government was elected in accordance with the Constitution.
In the same decision, the Constitutional Court determined that October 6 is the final deadline for electing the president of Kosovo.
