LA Galaxy extend goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski’s contract through the 2028-29 season

LA Galaxy announced the signing of a contract extension with goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski. The club made the decision public on Friday, confirming that Marcinkowski will remain part of the squad.

As mlssoccer reports, the 29-year-old has signed a deal running through the 2028-29 MLS season. Since arriving at the Galaxy ahead of the 2025 season, he has recorded six clean sheets in 27 starts across all competitions.

Marcinkowski spent the previous seven seasons (2018–24) with the San Jose Earthquakes as a homegrown player, where he recorded 18 clean sheets in 95 regular-season appearances. General manager Will Kuntz praised the professionalism and competition the goalkeeper has brought: he described Marcinkowski as a calm and reliable presence, a veteran who has taken every opportunity to earn his place in the squad.
