Lawyer Ivan Ninić threatens lawsuit against Kraljevo mayor over AI-generated video targeting Student List candidate

Lawyer Ivan Ninić has warned he will file a criminal complaint and a lawsuit against the mayor of Kraljevo, Predrag Terzić, for violating the honor and reputation of the Student List candidate for deputy, Jovana Jemović from Raška.

In a statement to the Razglas portal, Ninić said he will file a criminal complaint with the Special Prosecutor’s Office for High-Tech Crime in Belgrade, as well as a damages lawsuit with the Basic Court in Kraljevo, over the video published on Terzić’s Facebook account.

The video, created with the help of artificial intelligence and targeting Jemović, was shared after her speech at the reception of the cycling students, who arrived in Kraljevo on Sunday evening as part of the “Guardians of the Constitution” action. Jemović is a graduate technology engineer and ranks 79th on the Student List for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Ninić said it is unprecedented anywhere in modern Europe for a mayor “to promote such a degree of primitivism toward his own fellow citizens in an anti-civilizational manner, while at the same time presenting himself as a doctor of sciences.”

“The citizens of Raška and the students know who Jovana Jemović is… it is precisely such vile and low attacks against a mother, a woman and an academic citizen that show the degree of anger, madness and even fear of what comes on October 25,” he said.

Ninić called it an attack on every woman who has the courage “to stand up to the mafia and sacrifice her own peace for the common good.”

He expressed fear that the institutions will not protect Jemović, just as, in his view, they never have when Serbian Progressive Party officials “break the law and promote violence and primitivism.”

According to Ninić, this is not the first time Terzić has insulted women — earlier, the family of Ivan Matović and other Kraljevo citizens were subjected to “unprecedented lynching and satanization.”

“It is depressing that such products are created and distributed by the mayor of a city… in this way he promotes not only his own values, but also the values and politics of his party, to which the president of this state also belongs,” Ninić said.
