Lita: Vlora Hyseni used Ergys Agasi “in a frightening way”

Journalist and security analyst Lavdrim Lita discussed the case of Vlora Hyseni, the former director of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH), on “Now”, arguing that she managed to use Ergys Agasi as part of an intelligence operation aimed at controlling and compromising institutions.

“My suspicion is that this is a typical intelligence operation to compromise institutions, directorates, people, organized crime, businessmen, other politicians and others, in order to keep them under control. The moment they deviate, they will be used,” Lita said.

He added that the methods used resemble the former State Security’s infiltrations of various structures to gather information.

“There is an analogy: in ’87–’88 the State Security infiltrated all the groups of Tirana’s and other cities’ tough guys. A large part of those who are today strong businessmen — who have also been MPs and others — had been filed by the State Security and used to inform on it,” Lita said.

“Among these criminal gangs operating in Dubai and elsewhere, there are informants of the intelligence service who have turned, but who report where they move, how they move and so on. Nothing happens to them because that is their job: to stay protected and to keep an infiltrated control over all groups.”

“I think Vlora Hyseni used Gys Agasi in a frightening way. She had him as a collaborator — I don’t know what his duties were — but she acted, he acted on her behalf in the operation,” Lita said.

He added that a key element for SPAK in the case of the former SHISH director was the fact that she used a Slovenian number.

“Gysi had information on everyone’s weaknesses through the service, and through this mechanism he blackmailed them, controlled them, manipulated them, oriented them, elevated them and promoted them in office.”

“Foreigners got Vlora Hyseni’s head. That Slovenian number she used couldn’t be intercepted in Albania. The foreigners caught it, the partners, and served it to SPAK, and SPAK did the paperwork and executed it,” said Lavdrim Lita.
