Michael B. Jordan Reveals Surprising Decision After Oscar Success

Before taking a break, Jordan still has several important projects to complete. For the rest of the year, he will be busy filming the new version of “Miami Vice”, in which he will star alongside Austin Butler, as well as producing the “Creed” spin-off series “Delphi”.

Then, in the spring of 2027, he will begin promoting “The Thomas Crown Affair”, a remake of the classic film, which he directs, produces and also stars in.

After this project, the actor will give himself time to rest.

“I’ll most likely take the rest of the year off,” Jordan said.

He explained that this period will also serve him to reflect on his career and everything he has experienced in recent years.

“I believe that’s when I’ll start to reflect and process all of this. Because, honestly, I’ve always been on the move,” he said.

The decision comes just months after Jordan achieved one of the greatest successes of his career. In March 2026, he won his first Oscar, being named Best Actor for his dual performance as Smoke and Stack in the film “Sinners”.
