Mickoski: SDSM is for selling North Macedonia — ‘Put a blank sheet of paper in front of them and they sign everything’

VMRO-DPMNE leader and prime minister Hristijan Mickoski responded to SDSM over its criticism of the government and current investment projects, as Makfax news agency reports, stressing that the opposition stands against everything the government proposes and delivers.

“Yesterday, right here in Brvenica, we heard heavy words from SDSM and its leadership. We heard that North Macedonia is going in the wrong direction, we heard accusations about mines, about data centers, about foreign influences, about interethnic divisions — but citizens have the right to hear what stands behind those words. And that is why tonight I want to put one very simple question to SDSM, to voice a dilemma I personally have: we understood that SDSM is against everything, against the government, against everything for investments, against projects; when we go to the U.S. they say we had hidden motives, when we talk about investments they talk about some sale, when we talk about industry and mines they declare catastrophe in advance, every day we get new accusations, a new press conference which without exception is based on lies, slander, fabrications. What are they for? They are for the marijuana economy, that suits them best,” Mickoski said, adding:

“They are for selling North Macedonia — put a blank sheet of paper in front of them and they will sign everything just so they don’t have to pay, just so the citizens and North Macedonia pay, while they steal as much as they can from them and stuff it into their own pockets.”

Mickoski emphasized that behind SDSM’s policies there is no care for citizens or the development of the state, but an interest in maintaining influence and securing personal benefits.

“They are for building so-called health institutions that burn people alive, while through their installations in the judicial-prosecutorial system they get amnestied by them — that is what they are for. They are, at every step, for stealing if they can, for inventing something, but they are never for seeing North Macedonia develop, grow and become a better place to live,” Mickoski said.
