Mugosha: average pension is only 54% of the average wage — next week we propose three new solutions for fairer indexation

European Alliance MP Boris Mugosha announced that next week he will present three legal solutions for pension indexation, aiming for their real and fairer increase, in line with the rising cost of living.

According to him, this year’s pension increase has been inadequate compared to the rise in the cost of living — the average pension in Montenegro is only 54% of the average wage, while this ratio should be at least 60%.

Mugosha stressed that a serious and well-argued discussion is also needed on an extraordinary pension indexation by the end of the year.
