Nations League fixtures: Finland unveils its squad list

The new edition of the Nations League kicks off this month, and national team coaches have begun publishing the names of the players they have called up for the competition’s fixtures.

This Wednesday it was the turn of one of the Albanian national team’s rivals in League C — Finland, whom our representative side will face on October 3.

Coach Jacob Friis’s squad list includes 25 selected players, with no shortage of changes. Midfielders Kaan Kairinen and Glen Kamara have returned to the squad after a long absence, as have Bergstrom, Lahtenmaki and Stahl, who have recovered from their injuries. The only new face in the Finnish squad is striker Adrien Svanbak.

The Finland list also includes names such as Lukas Hradecki, the Monaco goalkeeper, and Joel Pohjanpalo. Besides Finland, the Albanian national team will also face Belarus and San Marino in this Nations League edition.
